BULLS FAMILY . . . WE NEED YOUR HELP!!
Lahai-roi Igiraneza, from our Under 18 Division 1 team, is one of our biggest superstars, and brightest success stories from our programs. She is a part of the best ever performing cohort of girls at the Bulls, this year being minor premiers and Champions in the Metropolitan Junior League, and runners up in the State Cup. La has been at the very forefront of this charge, topping the league with a whopping total 356 points for the season, as well as being the highest average points per game, total free throws, and total two pointers. More than that, she is an inspiration and role model for our girls, and boys, with the pure domination and determination she shows on court, coupled with her grace and humility off the court, and her pure joy and love for the game.
La has been invited to play in the USA in October in front of coaches from some of the most highly sought after colleges in the country. For a kid whose dream is to play college ball, and in the WNBA, like her idol A’ja Wilson, this is a pretty big deal!! She immigrated to Australia 10 years ago, with her mother and 4 siblings, to escape war torn Burundi in East Africa. Her Dad came some 11 years earlier as a refugee, working hard to get his family into the country and make a life for them here. Since that time, La has worked incredibly hard, both at school and on the court, to make the very most of her opportunities.
The Bulls have supported La’s basketball dreams since the beginning, and would really love to launch her into the next stage of her career.
Could you help us? Any amount, big or small, would be gratefully appreciated!!
You might not be able to say you know Patty Mills or Josh Giddey . . . but when La hits the WNBA, you will be able to say you gave La a hand!!
